Similarities
Both teachers and students have easy access to networks, where they can keep constant communication even outside classroom. This promises education able to extend from school to a wider space and exchange of learning and teaching experiences possible among teacher group and students group.
Though the devices we use are not as advanced as in the concept of digital white board, they are quite similar. Whatever teachers want to convey in the class can be immediately displayed on the screen, so that students can get the idea at real time. The replacement of traditional blackboard has enabled the transition of information to be faster and more efficient.
Multimedia is already a widespread means for education in China. Many teachers explore the possible combination of text, images, sound, video and animation to mobilize multi-sensations for effective learning.

Differences
The communication between teachers and parents are not as close as portrayed in the book.
Students get access to the information allowed in class, due to the consideration that too much information may distract their attention from the teaching content.
The devices are not as advanced in stated in the book, but enough for teaching.
